97% report accuracy thanks to advanced AI architecture and Gemini models
30% faster report generation
Prototyping takes hours not days with Gemini Code Assist
5x more simultaneous background reports on Google Kubernetes Engine
Xapien transformed its due-diligence platform with Google Cloud, cutting wait times and achieving 97% accuracy with Gemini models.
Organizations of all kinds face the same fundamental challenge: understanding who they’re doing business with. Whether conducting client onboarding, vetting third-party suppliers, assessing regulatory risk, or evaluating potential partners, the due-diligence process has historically forced an impossible choice: move fast with shallow checks and risk exposure, or spend weeks on thorough research and lose competitive advantage.
Xapien was founded to remove this compromise. As an early pioneer of AI-powered due diligence, the company built a platform that automates comprehensive third-party research, delivering fully-sourced reports in minutes rather than days. As Xapien grew, customer demand increased. The company set ambitious goals: achieve greater accuracy through advanced entity resolution, deliver faster processing, and scale elastically to meet global demand spikes.
Access to advanced large language models was central to Xapien’s vision for next-generation enhanced capabilities. As the company planned this evolution, Xapien made the strategic decision to migrate to Google Cloud, both for the native gen AI models of Gemini and the compute power to deliver a fast, reliable service to customers.
We’re impressed by Google’s investment in foundational large language models—that long-term commitment aligns with our vision as early AI innovators in this space. Gemini gives us the flexibility to select the right model for each task, while Google Cloud provides the infrastructure to scale globally.

“We’re impressed by Google’s investment in foundational large language models—that long-term commitment aligns with our vision as early AI innovators in this space,” explains Daniel Secretan, founder and COO at Xapien. “Gemini gives us the flexibility to select the right model for each task, while Google Cloud provides the infrastructure to scale globally.”
At the heart of Xapien’s enhanced platform lies a redesigned research engine that uses Gemini models to parse vast amounts of unstructured data and identify complex insights. Rather than relying on a single model for every task, Xapien architected a multi-model approach to balance speed and accuracy. For high-volume tasks, such as parsing names for double-barreled family names or honors at the end of a title, the team uses Gemini 2.5 Flash. For the sophisticated reasoning required to summarize risks and ensure report accuracy, Xapien uses Gemini 2.5 Pro, and is currently evaluating Gemini 3 Pro. This layered approach ensures the platform remains cost effective while delivering precision across tens of thousands of data points per report.
With Gemini’s wide range of models we can build a product that’s both accurate and affordable. The models work seamlessly together in Google Cloud, making them easy to integrate into our systems. It also helps with data security and compliance as we can ensure data’s stored in specific geographical regions.

Founder and COO, Xapien
“Using a range of models lets us select the right one for each task, making us faster and more efficient while maintaining accuracy,” explains Secretan. “Previously, it was impossible to provide our level of accuracy at the speed we deliver. This technology enables us to make the impossible possible.”
Xapien also uses Gemini models to understand cultural and linguistic nuances as it processes information from around the world. A major challenge in due diligence is handling non-Latin scripts and diverse naming conventions, with traditional natural-language-processing approaches often struggling with Arabic, Chinese, or Russian scripts.
With its native ability to understand multiple languages and read scripts in their original form, Gemini can process information with far greater accuracy, regardless of the alphabet used. This enables Xapien to pick up on specific idiosyncrasies of language and generate more accurate and reliable due-diligence reports for its customers.
To ensure these insights are delivered instantly, Xapien built its platform on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), allowing it to scale its services globally and dynamically based on user demand. During load testing, Xapien successfully ran five times more simultaneous reports than it could previously run, ensuring customers don’t have to wait in a queue for critical information.
Xapien also uses Gemini Code Assist to accelerate development. With AI-powered code assistance, Xapien’s engineering team can prototype new features quickly, allowing the company to remain agile in a competitive market.
Xapien’s platform enhancements have delivered significant improvements for customers. Report accuracy has climbed to 97% through advanced entity resolution combined with Gemini integration, with notable improvements in complex multi-language scenarios. Meanwhile, the average time to generate a due-diligence report has dropped by 30%—a further improvement for users who previously waited days for manual checks.
The enhanced architecture has eliminated the need for a queuing system, improving the user experience for global customers. This refinement allows Xapien to maintain its core strength: enabling organisations to onboard clients and suppliers rapidly whilst reducing administrative overhead and freeing analysts for high-value work.
Looking ahead, Xapien plans to list on the Google Cloud Marketplace to streamline procurement for large enterprise banks and corporations. The company is also exploring the use of Gemini Enterprise to enhance internal productivity and collaboration.
“Google Cloud provides the infrastructure foundation that allows us to continue delivering comprehensive due diligence at commercial speed,” says Chris Green, CEO at Xapien. “We need access to cutting-edge AI capabilities and the flexibility to apply them effectively, which is what Google Cloud gives us.”
